Are transaction fees refundable?

Transaction fees cover the cost of processing payments and payouts through Stripe whenever a trade is successfully completed.

Because these fees are associated with processing the transaction, they are generally not refundable once the trade has been completed.

If you believe you've been charged incorrectly or have questions about a fee on your account, contact Zutopia Support for assistance.

Transaction Fees

A transaction fee is charged to both the buyer and the seller for each completed trade.

The fee depends on whether the transaction is domestic or international:

  • Domestic transactions: 1.6% of the transaction value if it's applicable for the users.

  • International transactions: 3.45% of the transaction value if it's applicable for the users.

A transaction is considered domestic when:

  • The buyer uses an AUD payment card, and

  • The seller receives payouts to an AUD bank account.

If either party uses a different currency, the transaction may be treated as an international transaction.

Monthly Compliance Fee

In addition to the transaction fee, a USD $5.00 monthly compliance fee may apply.

This fee is charged to both the buyer and the seller on their first completed trade of each calendar month. Once you've paid the fee for that month, it won't be charged again until your first completed trade in the following calendar month.

If you don't complete any trades during a month, the monthly compliance fee isn't charged.

Important Notes

  • Transaction fees are charged to both the buyer and the seller.
