Who pays transaction fees?

On Zutopia, transaction fees are charged to both sides of a trade. Both the buyer and the seller pay a transaction fee on every completed trade, rather than the fee being charged to only one party.

This article explains how fees are split between buyers and sellers.

Both Parties Pay

Buyers are charged a transaction fee that includes card processing fees. Sellers are charged a transaction fee that includes card-to-bank-account fees. Both are charged at the same rate: 1.60% domestic, 3.45% international, with minimum fees applying below $75 USD.

Monthly Subscription Fee

A $5 USD fee is charged to both the buyer and seller on their first trade of each calendar month. If you don’t trade during that month, no fee is charged.
