Fee examples and calculations

Understanding how Zutopia’s transaction fees are applied in real trades can make it easier to see how costs are charged for both buyers and sellers.

Fees are calculated based on whether a transaction is domestic or international, and whether it falls above or below the minimum threshold.

Fee Structure Overview

Zutopia applies the following standard transaction fees:

  • 1.6% for domestic transactions

  • 3.45% for international transactions

A minimum fee applies to transactions below $75 USD:

  • $1.60 USD for domestic transactions

  • $2.50 USD for international transactions

These fees are charged to both the buyer and the seller.

Domestic Example

For a domestic trade above $75 USD, both the buyer and seller are charged 1.6% of the transaction value.

For a domestic trade below $75 USD, the percentage fee does not apply. Instead, the minimum fee of $1.60 USD is charged to both parties.

International Example

For an international trade above $75 USD, both the buyer and seller are charged 3.45% of the transaction value.

For an international trade below $75 USD, the minimum fee of $2.50 USD is charged to both parties instead of the percentage rate.

Important Notes

  • Fees are applied to both buyers and sellers on every completed trade.

  • Percentage fees are calculated based on the total transaction value.

  • Minimum fees apply only to transactions below $75 USD.

  • Fees are shown before you confirm a trade.

  • These figures do not include the separate $5 USD monthly subscription fee, which applies once per calendar month to a user's first transaction unless they hold an active subscription.
