Why doesn’t Splitchain use staking?

SplitChain does not use staking in the common sense used by many other networks. Instead, it relies on a method Zucoins refers to as Direct Correlation - Proof of Work (DC-PoW).

Understanding this distinction helps explain how SplitChain secures the network without requiring participants to lock up Zucoins as stake.

What Is DC-PoW?

DC-PoW, or Direct Correlation - Proof of Work, is the work involved in processing caches for others' transactions, which network participants are expected to perform as part of using the network.
