How do Zutopia's fees compare to traditional exchanges?

Zutopia is built differently from a traditional centralised cryptocurrency exchange, and this affects how its fee structure works.

Instead of charging trading fees based on an order book model, Zutopia charges a transaction fee per trade. This fee is used to cover the cost of processing payments and payouts through Stripe, since trades are completed directly between users (peer-to-peer) rather than through a central exchange.

How This Differs From Traditional Exchanges

On traditional exchanges, users typically:

  • Trade through an order book system

  • Pay separate trading, withdrawal, and network fees

  • May be subject to additional platform or maker/taker fees

On Zutopia:

  • Trades happen directly between buyers and sellers

  • Fees are applied per completed transaction

  • Payments and payouts are handled through Stripe

Important Notes

  • Zutopia transaction fees apply only to buying and selling Zucoins for fiat currency through the marketplace.

  • Wallet-to-wallet Zucoin transfers are separate and do not include marketplace fees.

  • All applicable fees are shown before you confirm a trade.
