Listings are how peer-to-peer trading takes place on Zutopia. Every trade begins with a listing created by a user, either to buy Zucoins or to sell Zucoins they already own. These listings allow buyers and sellers to connect directly and agree on a trade based on the price and quantity they have set.
Understanding the difference between Buy and Sell listings will help you choose the correct option when creating a trade and make it easier to navigate the marketplace with confidence.
Buy Listings
A Buy listing is created by a user who wants to purchase Zucoins from other members of the Zutopia marketplace. Sellers who are interested in your offer can then choose to fulfil your listing.
When you create a Buy listing:
You specify how many Zucoins you want to buy.
You set the price you're willing to pay (per Zucoin or as a total amount).
Your listing appears on the Sell Zucoins side of the marketplace, where Zucoin holders can view it and choose to sell to you.
Sellers can fulfil all or part of your requested amount, depending on your listing settings.
Sell Listings
A Sell listing is created by a user who wants to sell Zucoins they already own to other members of the Zutopia marketplace. Interested buyers can then purchase your Zucoins by fulfilling your listing, either in full or partially if you've enabled partial fulfilment.
When you create a Sell listing:
You specify how many Zucoins you want to sell.
You set your asking price (per Zucoin or as a total amount).
Your listing appears on the Buy Zucoins side of the marketplace, where interested buyers can purchase your Zucoins.
Buyers can purchase all or part of your listing, depending on your listing settings.
Important Notes
Both listing types support partial fulfilment, meaning a buyer or seller can trade a portion of the listed amount rather than the full amount in one transaction. If you have allowed for partial fulfilment, users may offer you a different quantity. You can choose to accept or decline any offer.
Listings remain active for three hours at a time, with the option to renew in the final 15 minutes. If not renewed, the listing is temporarily hidden until you return to the app.
